Dr. Andrea Horning is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, educator, and mental health advocate with a passion for helping people of all ages find balance and wellness—whether you’re a busy mom, a stressed-out professional, or a child learning how to navigate the world. With a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, over a decade of clinical experience, and a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health, Dr. Horning works with children, adolescents, and adults alike to improve their mental well-being.
Between teaching future nurse practitioners, providing psychiatric consultations in a level 1 trauma hospital, and raising her own energetic kiddos, Andrea knows exactly what it’s like to feel that you’re constantly running on empty. But she also knows how to make it work. With her blend of advanced clinical training, real-world experience, and a deep understanding of the pressures that come with motherhood, she’s committed to helping other moms feel more in control, less stressed, and way more confident in their ability to handle it all.
Whether it’s managing the overwhelm of a busy family life, finding time for self-care, or learning how to build mental resilience in the face of daily chaos, Andrea empowers others to prioritize their mental health without feeling like they’re failing at everything else. She believes that “doing it all” doesn’t have to mean “doing it perfectly” and that a little humor, some mindset shifts, and knowing when to ask for help can make a world of difference. She is passionate about helping individuals of all ages, from children to adults, understand how to build resilience, prioritize self-care, and develop healthier coping strategies. She’s dedicated to helping her patients—whether they’re a young child with big emotions or a parent trying to manage it all—find a sense of calm amidst the chaos.
At Amaryllis Anchor, we recognize the unique pressures and emotional toll that law enforcement officers, first responders, and their families face. We are committed to providing a safe, confidential space where they can find the support they need to navigate the mental and emotional challenges of their demanding roles. Whether you’re seeking help for stress, trauma, or simply need a space to decompress, our practice is here to offer personalized care, resilience-building tools, and a steady anchor of support. We honor the dedication of those who serve their communities and are here to ensure they, and their loved ones, receive the care and attention they deserve.
